Cassie Knight
Cassie Knight lived and worked in Congo Brazzaville from 2001–2003, managing a humanitarian aid program after the 1999 civil war. When she came to write this book her in-depth knowledge of the country gave her unparalleled access to Congo's people and places. She has a Masters in Social Anthropology from Manchester University and worked for Reuters and as an Africa analyst before moving into the NGO sector.
